Sergeant Catalina Marie Ruiz, a 27-year-old Hispanic woman, was tragically killed in an apparent murder-suicide in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on October 6, 2011. Ruiz, who was a supply sergeant with the 112th Signal Battalion stationed at Fort Bragg, was kidnapped from an apartment where she had been staying on Icarus Circle by Warren Cummings III, a 30-year-old man from the 400 block of Woodstream Trail. Cummings had a restraining order against him, and their relationship was not disclosed. ...
