Tamika Tyler, 36, a Black/African American woman, was shot on the night of September 11, 2025, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Around 10:57 p.m., police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the 2500 block of Caledonia Circle and found Tamika Tyler and an adult man wounded by gunfire. Investigators determined the pair had been riding in a white Chevy Equinox—he was driving and Tamika Tyler was in the front passenger seat—when a man sitting behind them opened fire.
