Sherlyn Alicia Drew, a 21-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 31, 2021, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sherlyn, a rising senior studying biology at Georgia State University, had returned home to Charlotte to visit her family during summer break. On that fateful night, suspects pulled up in front of her family's home on Twin Brook Drive and opened fire, resulting in her untimely death.
