Death by Force

Natalie Ruth Howie, age 18, a White/Caucasian female from the Charlotte area, died on May 21, 2025 after being found shot inside a residence on Applewood Lane near Lawyers Road in east Charlotte. First reports that evening said one person had been pronounced dead at the scene; the victim was not immediately identified in those early dispatches. Later obituary notices confirmed the victim as Natalie Ruth Howie, age 18, and described her as a senior at Independence High School in Mint Hill.
