On September 6, 2015, 30-year-old LaQuanta Young was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting in Charlotte, North Carolina, during Labor Day weekend. She was outside a house on Echodale Drive when shots were fired into a crowd, and she later died at the hospital. The Charlotte community was shaken by a string of violent incidents that weekend, which claimed several lives, including a 7-year-old boy.
