Dontae Cornelius Kennedy, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 15, 2021, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred just one day after his birthday. At around 2:30 a.m., Dontae was found unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds on Waterwood Lane. Medics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
