Death by Force

Javone Johnson, a 27-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on September 19, 2021, in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on North Caldwell Street, where officers responded to an armed robbery call. Upon arrival, they found Javone Johnson with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into the incident.
