Patricia Stanley Tobiasz, a 38-year-old woman from Cary, North Carolina, was found dead on February 13, 2022, in an RV located on Jessie Bridges Road in Siler City. The initial report suggested that her death was the result of an accidental shooting. However, upon further investigation, authorities determined that the evidence did not support this narrative. Patricia Stanley Tobiasz had been shot once, and the circumstances surrounding her death led investigators to suspect foul play.

Oliver Arz, a 47-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, was present at the scene and initially claimed that the shooting was accidental. However, the Chatham County Sheriff's Office soon found inconsistencies in his account. Arz, who was an acquaintance of Patricia Stanley Tobiasz, was subsequently charged with first-degree murder. The authorities believed that his actions were not random and that there was a deeper connection between the two individuals.

On February 18, 2022, the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Oliver Arz and transferred him to the Chatham County Detention Center on March 11, 2022. He was held without bond and was scheduled to appear in court on March 21, 2022. The investigation into the death of Patricia Stanley Tobiasz continued, with law enforcement officials working to uncover the full details of the case and any potential motives behind the crime.
