Ashaunti Nyquanna Hyman, a 20-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on October 12, 2022, in Williamston, North Carolina. The incident occurred on Poplar Point Road, where Ashaunti and another victim, Venus Shahara Bond, 49, were fatally shot. A third individual, Orvin Orel Hyman, 47, was also injured in the shooting and was receiving medical treatment at ECU Health.
