A college student is found murdered in her dorm room in Elizabeth City, NC
Sharon Jones, 21, was found murdered inside her dorm room inside Mitchell-Lewis Dormitory on the campus of Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, NC, on the morning of March 5, 1984. She had returned to the campus early during spring break to attend to her student-teacher requirements at local elementary schools. Sharon was found naked and facedown with a white belt wrapped around her neck and tied to her bed frame. Sharon's cause of death was determined to be strangulation, though b ...
