Wendy Jean Johnson, a 58-year-old white female, was tragically shot and killed on August 22, 2014, in the parking lot of Hyde Park Apartments in Cary, North Carolina. Wendy, a night nurse from Sanford, was getting out of her car when she was approached by Daniel Scott Remington, who attempted to rob her. When Wendy resisted and refused to give up her purse, Remington shot her. Wendy was taken to Duke University Hospital in Durham, where she was pronounced dead.
