Tavorje Kelly, a 14-year-old African American boy, tragically lost his life on March 16, 2022, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He was killed in a drive-by shooting while he was sleeping inside a trailer home at Tanglewood Mobile Home Park on Central Heights Road. The incident occurred around 4 a.m., and the mobile home was riddled with bullet holes. Tavorje was one of five siblings and a student at Eastern Wayne Middle School.
