Kevin Robert Chambers, a 61-year-old man from Elizabeth City, NC, tragically died on April 4, 2022, after being shot in the parking lot of a Big Lots store. He was an Army veteran and beloved family man. The incident occurred around 9:35 p.m. when police responded to reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, they found Chambers suffering from a gunshot wound, and despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.
