Jeffrey Scott Melvin, a 35-year-old male, was tragically shot and killed in Clinton, North Carolina, on July 2, 2022. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Kennedy Street, where Melvin was found lying in the road with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Clinton Police Department, Melvin was approached by a group of people in a vehicle who called him over before opening fire and speeding away.
