In the early morning hours of October 25, 2020, a domestic argument in a residence on Kentucky Route 30, just north of London, ended in the shooting death of 38-year-old Don Roy Collett of East Bernstadt. A male, Collett was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner. The incident prompted an investigation by the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.
