John William Melvin, a 55-year-old male from Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away on July 14, 2022. His death was discovered during a welfare check conducted by the police. Upon arrival at the residence, officers found John Melvin and his long-term partner, both deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The couple was found inside their home on Berkshire Road, and the police confirmed that there was no threat to the public as the incident did not appear to be a random act.
