Markus Petty, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically murdered on July 22, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred at an apartment complex on Sharon Pointe Road during a double shooting. Shots rang out around 6 a.m., resulting in Markus's death and leaving a female resident with life-threatening injuries.
