On March 17, 2024, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 300 block of Bradford Drive, located in northwest Charlotte. Upon arrival, they discovered 31-year-old Darien Lamont Morrison suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
