On March 28, 2017, 29-year-old Laymon Moore was shot and killed near Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Park in Charlotte, North Carolina. Moore was walking on Catherine Simmons Avenue when an argument with men in a passing car escalated into a shooting. Despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made, leaving Moore's family, including his pregnant girlfriend, devastated.
