Anthony Giles, a 23-year-old man from Durham, North Carolina, was fatally shot on September 11, 2022. The incident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. along state Route 55 and Apex Highway, north of the Interstate 40 interchange. The shooting left three other men wounded and two cars struck by gunfire. The Durham Police Department responded to the scene and found three men who had been shot. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment, where Anthony Giles succumbed to his injuries.
