On June 19, 2002, 24-year-old Lamar Perry was fatally shot in the parking lot of 2130 South Roxboro Street in Durham, North Carolina. He was ambushed and shot just after exiting a friend's vehicle around 2 a.m. Despite investigations, Perry's case remains unsolved. Durham authorities are still seeking public assistance in finding those responsible for his death, offering anonymous reporting through Crime Stoppers with potential rewards for information leading to an arrest.
