On December 24, 2016, 25-year-old Montez Brandon was fatally shot at the Springwood Park Apartments in Durham, North Carolina. Around 4:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at 3004 Ivey Wood Lane, where they found Brandon and another man with gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where Brandon succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The second victim survived the incident. citeturn0search3
