On June 18, 2011, 30-year-old Michael Hunter was shot and killed while driving on the Durham Freeway in North Carolina. A car pulled alongside his vehicle, and someone inside opened fire. Hunter managed to drive his car for another 200 yards before crashing near the Fayetteville Street exit ramp. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
