Erlene Nealy Brown, a 51-year-old woman of African American ethnicity, tragically lost her life on December 25, 1982, in Dixie Inn, Louisiana. She was killed in her home along with her husband, Newton Brown, who was 55 years old. The couple was murdered during a robbery by two escaped convicts, Jimmy Wingo and Jimmy Glass, who broke into their house on Christmas Eve.
