In April 2013, the life of 39-year-old April Vander Linden, a female resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, was tragically cut short in her own home. On April 23, she was found shot to death, having sustained wounds to her chest and head. The ensuing investigation quickly focused on Ryan Pourciau, who was then 18 years old and the ex-boyfriend of Vander Linden's 16-year-old daughter.
