Curtis William Denton Jr., a 44-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, was a Lieutenant with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana. On January 25, 1989, he was shot and killed with his own weapon while attempting to stop three suspects from stealing a car from his apartment complex's parking lot.
