Mario Juan Simpson Jr., a 20-year-old African American male, was killed on February 1, 2021, in Houston, Texas, after gunfire broke out at 303 Rosamond Street. The shooting happened around 6:25 p.m. at an apartment complex on Houston’s north side, where officers later found Simpson wounded and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving investigators to piece together what had happened in the breezeway area where he was discovered.
