On February 22, 2010, Kendall Tyrone Faibvre, a male, was shot and killed in New Orleans. His death was the result of a violent encounter orchestrated by members of the notorious '39ers' gang, a criminal enterprise involved in drug trafficking and acts of violence to protect its members and territory. Faibvre was targeted because he was believed to be an associate of a rival gang from the Desire Housing Project.
