In the summer of 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana, a neighborhood dispute over something as trivial as grass clippings tragically escalated, leading to the death of 30-year-old Curtis Lee Timmons. On June 23rd of that year, Timmons was shot and killed, a senseless act of violence that stemmed from a disagreement with a neighbor. The man responsible for his death was David L.
Miller, a local lawn care business owner.
The fatal encounter was sparked when grass clippings were inadvertently blown into the yard of Timmons's girlfriend, Shawne Proctor. This seemingly minor incident led to a heated confrontation between Timmons and Miller. The argument quickly turned deadly when Miller produced a firearm and shot Timmons, ending his life. The New Orleans Police Department investigated the homicide, which ultimately led to the arrest of David L. Miller.
