Brenda Hampton, a 51-year-old African American woman, died on July 25, 2011, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Her death was part of a tragic murder-suicide incident. Brenda was shot and killed by her husband, Allan Corby Haltom, who then took his own life. This incident marked the second murder-suicide in Bossier City and the fourth in the Shreveport-Bossier area in 2011.
