In the days leading up to her second birthday, a young female child named Keira Holmes was fatally struck by a stray bullet in a tragic shooting on December 18, 2011, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Keira, who was just one year old at the time, was playing in the courtyard of the B.W. Cooper apartment complex when the incident occurred.
