In the late hours of a Friday night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of C.J. Grisby Jr., a 46-year-old Black or African American male, was tragically cut short. On March 15, 2013, Grisby was found fatally wounded, the victim of a shooting that sent ripples of grief through his community. A self-employed truck driver and a native of Hermanville, Mississippi, he had made a life for himself in Baton Rouge.
