In the heart of a Baton Rouge neighborhood, a burst of violence on February 8, 2024, claimed the life of 18-year-old Tyre Everson, a Black male. The fatal encounter unfolded just before noon in the 3700 block of Shelly Street, where Everson was found on the porch of a residence, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
