In the spring of 2022, a palpable sense of fear gripped the homeless community in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, following a series of targeted and fatal shootings. Among the victims was Nikko Alexander James Haney, an 18-year-old white male who was navigating the hardships of life without a permanent home. On the afternoon of Friday, April 29, 2022, Haney's life was tragically cut short when he was found shot to death in the 11500 block of North Harrells Ferry Road.
