In the summer of 2021, the life of 20-year-old Keishune Thomas, a male from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was cut short in a violent encounter. On the morning of July 1st, his body was discovered inside a vehicle on Tigerbend Road, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office launched a homicide investigation into his death.
