In March of 2014, a tense situation unfolded in Monroe, Louisiana, culminating in the death of 41-year-old Jeffrey Scott Pope. The incident began on a Tuesday evening when officers from the Monroe Police Department, along with Louisiana State Police, arrived at Pope's Oakmont Street residence to serve a felony burglary warrant.
