Ellery Boyd, a 35-year-old male of African American ethnicity, died on May 11, 2014, in New Orleans, LA. Boyd was involved in a violent home invasion/burglary ring targeting drug dealers in the Metro New Orleans area. His death was connected to a larger conspiracy involving robbery and narcotics trafficking led by members of a street gang called the "Mid-City Killers" .
