Ayanna Woodward, a 28-year-old woman from Santa Ana, California, was found dead on June 30, 2014, in a secluded area on Michoud Boulevard near Interstate 10 in eastern New Orleans. Her body was discovered by construction workers, and she had been shot multiple times and set on fire, likely in an attempt to conceal the murder.
