In a secluded area of eastern New Orleans, the grim discovery of a young woman's body brought a brutal crime to light. Ayanna Woodward, a 28-year-oldfemale from Santa Ana, California, was found deceased on June 30, 2014, near Michoud Boulevard and Interstate 10. The New Orleans Police Department later identified her. Woodward, who also went by the name Alicia Green, had been shot multiple times before her body was set on fire in what was likely an attempt to destroy evidence.
