Craig Bychurch, a 54-year-old man, was found dead on July 2, 2014, in the 1900 block of Jasper Lane in LaPlace, Louisiana. Bychurch had only lived in LaPlace for a year before his untimely death. The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that Bychurch was shot and killed in front of his apartment at around 8:21 in the morning. The incident was classified as a homicide, and detectives began investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
