On a Tuesday evening, the 5th of February, 2019, the life of 31-year-old Overton Tobias was tragically cut short in Laplace, Louisiana. In the Cambridge subdivision, at approximately 10:30 p.m., residents were startled by the sound of multiple gunshots. Responding to the urgent calls, deputies from the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office arrived at the intersection of Medford and Williamsburg drives to a grim scene.
There on the sidewalk, they found Overton Tobias suffering from several gunshot wounds.
