On January 26, 2015, Benny Booker, a 29-year-old male from Donaldsonville, Louisiana, was tragically killed in what was described as a "dope deal gone bad". Booker was found injured by gunfire in the doorway of Chad Nichols' home on Latino Drive in Donaldsonville. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Booker was pronounced dead. The incident was linked to a stolen vehicle, a 2007 white Dodge Magnum, which was seen speeding away from the scene.
