In an act of selfless heroism, 28-year-old Lindsey Kathleen Crain lost her life on January 29, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a female. Born on July 31, 1986, Crain was killed while intervening in a violent altercation to protect her mother. The tragic incident unfolded when her mother was attempting to leave her husband, Abbie Head, after what was described as years of abuse and threats of violence.
