Joseph Kyle, a 45-year-old African American man, was killed on May 3, 2015, in a violent incident on Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans, Louisiana. Originally from Cottonport, Louisiana, Kyle had served in the United States Army and was working as an electrical technician at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center at the time of his death.
