On the day of his disappearance, he was dropped off at the Atlanta Airport for a flight to California. His mother, Natasha Wells-Walker, last saw him on that day. He was traveling with a man he knew from high school.
Wells' trip to Los Angeles County, California, was reportedly to commit a robbery with his acquaintance, with the potential of gaining a large sum of money. He arrived in California and was at a Motel 6 in Rowland Heights. However, he has not been seen or heard from since. About a week after he was last seen, the man he traveled with returned to Georgia without him. This individual claimed that Wells had decided to stay in California, a statement Wells' family did not believe. His mother reported him missing about a week after his last contact.
Prior to his disappearance, Wells had relapsed on methamphetamines. His daughter had a bad feeling about the trip and his travel companion. The Chattooga County Sheriff's Office in Georgia is investigating his disappearance. Wells is described as a Black male, 5'10" tall, and weighing 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has an unknown tattoo on his face and multiple unknown tattoos on his right forearm.
