Jordy Francis Bellard, a 30-year-old man, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015, in Eunice, Louisiana. His death was the result of a shooting that stemmed from an argument at a residence on Shelton Manuel Road.

An altercation between Bellard and Kenneth Scott Prather, 34, of Branch, escalated into violence. According to an arrest affidavit, Prather shot Bellard twice in the back. After Bellard had fallen, Prather shot him once more in the head, later telling police he wanted to 'eliminate ...
