In a Baton Rouge hotel room, a grim discovery was made on the evening of Sunday, January 12, 2025, marking a violent end to the life of 56-year-old Linda Mayes. Her body was found at the Regency Inn on Gwenadele Avenue shortly before 6:30 p.m. Responding officers from the Baton Rouge Police Department noted that she had sustained trauma to her body, and her death was immediately investigated as a homicide.
