Milan Arriola, a 20-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on July 3, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Milan was the daughter of Roy A. Arriola, Jr., a member of the New Orleans Fire Department, and Imani Nia Ruffins, a New Orleans police officer. She was also the niece of renowned jazz trumpeter Kermit Ruffins.
