In the summer of 2015, the community of Lafayette, Louisiana, was shaken by a series of violent acts that would tragically claim the life of 19-year-old Deontra Alexander. An African American male, Alexander was discovered deceased on July 29, 2015, inside an apartment on 12th Street.
