Davon Lee Leggett, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 29, 2015, in Gretna, Louisiana. Davon was a student at Southern University of New Orleans and was known for his dedication to his studies and his commitment to helping others. He was a member of the Honoré Program at SUNO, where he was studying to become a teacher. His life was cut short during an apparent robbery in Terrytown, a nearby community, while he was visiting relatives for the weekend.
