On what should have been a festive Christmas Eve in 2014, a tragic and violent event unfolded at the Oakwood Mall in Gretna, Louisiana, leading to the death of 24-year-old James Vaughn. The young man was inside the Footlocker store, having just completed a purchase, when a gunman entered and opened fire.
